The Great FOOTBALL TICKET Debacle

So Zach's family has been in possession of season tickets to the UT Football games for going on twelve years... and to be quite honest, I've become a little spoiled with the idea of having our own seats. Well, a couple of weeks ago, my father-in-law casually mentioned to Zach that the life-time donor that we bought our tickets from had developed Alzheimer's during this past year and that his family... the ungrateful little snits... decided that they didn't want the "burden" of having to broker the tickets out any more, so they gave them back to the University.

Let me allow that to sink in for a moment...

THEY GAVE THEM BACK TO THE UNIVERSITY!!!

So, here we are, one week before the season, and NO tickets. I'm sick... I mean, physically sick at my stomach.

We were desperate. We were distraught. We were in deep deep mourning... so much so, that we resorted to manipulation (see photo below).

So, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, today the heavens opened and the LORD looked down upon us and smiled.

Our new season tickets are now directly across from our old seats... one seat number different... one row different. Basically, the same seats but on the opposite side of the stadium. If you've never been there, you should really check out www.Craigslist.com, and internet site very similar to ebay in nature, but much more crude and down to the nitty gritty. This is where we were able to locate our angel of mercy... in Knoxville none the less! We go pick them up tomorrow evening.
